ITEC Contracting is a privately owned, specialist contracting organisation operating in the Auckland market. 

To be an ITEC Career Contractor you will typically have the following profile: 

• Have more than 10 years IT experience (excluding University education and related project experience).

• Have more than five years experience in at least one area of information technology.

• Have previously been a computer contractor in New Zealand or overseas. Or, are currently out of work.

• Have a degree of financial independence to be able to sustain the between project periods that are an inevitable part of contracting.

• Be resident in New Zealand and able to start work at short notice, or be an established contractor working in Auckland.

Our clients fall into one of three categories - End User (typically IT divisions of Top 200 corporates); Outsourcing companies (who hold Facilities Management and Software Support contracts with Top 200 corporates); or Software Development companies who are privately owned, or have autonomous Auckland management. In most cases, our clients see contractors as being revenue earning rather than a cost overhead.
